Sr. Engineer in Research at University of Michigan

I am an Engineer in Research for the Center for High Energy Density Astrophysical Research (CHEDAR), within the Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences department at the University of Michigan. I am head of target fabrication, where I manage all target campaigns for laser driven experiments that are carried out at laser facilities around the United States. These facilities include, Omega and Omega-EP, located at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics, the Trident laser at Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Titan laser, in the Jupiter Laser Facility at Livermore National Laboratory. I manage the entire lifecycle of campaigns, including CAD modeling and design, material sourcing, component sourcing and/or manufacturing, assembly, characterization, and metrology, as well as hand-delivery and on-site target support.
