The CPP Houston meeting will be the final community-wide meeting in the APS DPP Community Planning Process (CPP) before our report is delivered to FESAC. It will also be the only open meeting covering all of the topical areas in the CPP. The goal of this meeting will be to get community input and feedback for our final report for FESAC, which we intend to deliver by March 1, 2020. We strongly encourage anyone who is interested in the future of the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences (FES) to attend! Topics covered will include:
- Prioritization of elements within topical areas
- Discussion of cross-cutting elements that support all areas of FES
- Concerns and feedback regarding the preliminary report (to be released before CPP Houston)
Registration is now open at this APS link
* note: as of January 7, there are still rooms available at the Omni Hotel in the group package
A draft Community Plan for Fusion Energy and Discovery Plasma Sciences, encompassing all topical and cross-cutting areas in our Community Planning Process, has now been posted at the event website.
This draft plan is intended to serve as a starting point for discussion at the CPP-Houston meeting, and feedback from the CPP-Houston meeting will be used to make final changes to the plan before it is delivered to FESAC by March 1. To give feedback regarding this document, please participate in expert group meetings this week (Jan 7-10) and attend the CPP-Houston workshop.
